The new Telos Central community portal

As a Telos blockchain validator, we try to add value to the network by doing more than just producing blocks.

We started off, shortly after the main net launch in 2018 with a Telos web directory where we listed everything happening within the ecosystem. This was hard work since social media platforms had to be monitored full time for news of new developments such as new dapps being launched on the network, etc. For someone with a full-time job, a family and servers to maintain for the network, this became a task that was very hard to maintain.

One difficulty with Telos (and this is a nice difficulty to have by the way) is that there is a staggering amount of development that takes place. It’s difficult for developers to get members to pay attention to their products and it’s difficult for community members to get an overview of everything available on the network. Not just that, but also knowing which dapps are most popular.

The Telos Foundation does a great job of keeping members informed, but what if there was a way to involve developers and community members directly and get a collective overview from thousands?

This is where the new Telos Central community portal comes in.

You as a community member or developer, can register an account on Telos Central and publish information not yet available on the portal. This will make the application available for viewing to the community, as well as give you the chance to upvote or downvote the application based on your experience.

We have a lot planned for this portal, but all I want to do today is to introduce the platform to the community and let you discover for yourself the role you can play in advancing Telos even further.

Today is launch day, so we are wary of the fact that there might be some bugs on the platform, despite all the testing that we’ve done.

If you do run into any issues, please contact us either directly on the platform by sending a message to Stephan.

This can be done by clicking on your mailbox icon and then the compose mail icon which will lead you to the following page.

Once there, select Stephan as the recipient and tell us about the issues or suggestions you might have.

You can also join our telegram group and have a conversation with us directly.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
